The Manager Self-Evaluation Process Worksheet
Use the data on this page to score and calculate your Self-Evaluation score for either yourself and
your team.
SCORING
In totaling your scores take the percentage scored as points, 60% is 60 points.
- Total your management and leadership quiz scores (200 possible).
NOTE: You should subtract 20 points from your management and leadership scores for each of the
following conditions:
- If your total quiz score is equal to or lower than your teams average quiz score.
- If your team's average quiz score is below 200 an indicator of a serious lack or quality coaching
and training in your environment.
- If your sales process evaluation score was below 60, and an addition 20 if it was below 40. This
means you have not developed and effective process for your team to use.
- If your team's average sales presentation evaluation score was below 60. This means you are not
providing your team with a good story.
- If your sales presentation evaluation score is more than 30 points higher than your team's. This
means you are not teaching your people what you know.
Management & Leadership Score Evaluation
0-100 You are seriously lacking in the use of management and leadership
best practices in the running of your team. Work in this area would probably significantly
improve moral and performance.
100-140 You are using some management and leadership best practices
with your team, but you still have room for significant improvement.
150 and above You are likely doing a reasonable job as a leader and manager. Keep in
mind however that you can score well and perform poorly.
No matter what you scored taking the time to learn about management and leadership practices will
always benefit your efforts, as you can score well and perform poorly.

- Total your four sales quiz scores (400 possible)
Personal Selling Skills Score Evaluation
310 - 400 You have a reasonable knowledge of sales theory which means you are probably able to
coach your people and correct tactical and strategic errors in their selling.
However, you should keep in mind that this test of your knowledge is very shallow. Your performance can
always be dramatically improved by engaging in a self-development program. Consider checking out our
recommended book lists and improving your theoretical knowledge of sales, communications, and mangement.
300 or below You knowledge of the best practices of selling are not up to your responsibility.
It is likely you are not able to effective coach and train your team and you are possibly unable to
readily spot strategic and tactical errors in their selling. This lack of sales knowledge may also
reduce your leadership abilities as your team does not see you ask knowledgeable. You will likely find it
very difficult to get your team performing at optimum levels.
Remember to subtract 20 points from your management and leadership score if your quiz score is
equal to or lower than your teams average score.
