About Flyn L. Penoyer Certified Management Consultant
Mr. Penoyer graduated San Jose University in 1973 with a BA in Economics
and started his career as a manager in the business to consumer industry.
In 1982 joined Dysan Corporation as their Inside Sales Manager. He then
went to Memorex as Telemarketing Manager and finally Logitech as Retail
Inside Sales Manager where he increased sales over 500% in just nine months.
In 1997 Mr. Penoyer wrote "Teleselling Techniques that Close the Sale which
was published by AMACOM Books (The American Management Association). For the
next three years while runing his consulting company he was an active course
developer and instrutor for AMA rewriting their telephone sales course and
developing thier Time & Territory Management and Leadership for Sales Executives
courses.
During his work with the American Management Association he received Training
in courseware development, delivery, and study and learning technology. Additionally
Mr. Penoyer has attended extensive Training in communications skills as well as
additional study in the areas of brain based and accelerated learning and study
technology.
Since starting Penoyer Communications over 20 years ago he as worked with hundreds
of clients including such names as Juniper Networks, Computer Associates, and Verity.
He has trained thousands of salespeople and helped over 60 companies develop brand
new inside sales organizations.
Mr. Penoyer is a pioneer in the area of telesales theory and Training, publishing the
very first book that actually truly taught "telephone selling" as opposed to packaging
classical "sales" theory calling it telephone selling.
